Data Deletion Request

HissTastic respects your privacy. Here's how to delete your data.

What Data Does HissTastic Store?

HissTastic is local-first by design. Most data stays on your device. Only what's necessary for the global leaderboard is transmitted to the cloud.

Cloud (Supabase) — shared to the leaderboard: • Anonymous player ID (locally generated UUID) • Username (chosen or auto-generated, may appear publicly) • Personal best score (only your single highest score)

Local device (browser localStorage or app storage): • Anonymous player ID & username • Full score history (never transmitted) • Gameplay stats (games played, food eaten, averages) • Theme preference & music preference • Profile ready flag

No personal contact or account data is ever collected. HissTastic has no email, phone number, real name, location, device identifier, advertising ID, or cookie collection.

Delete Local Data

Browser / PWA

Open your browser's settings or developer tools.
Clear localStorage / site data for hisstastic.vercel.app.
Alternatively, uninstall the PWA from your device.

Android App

Open your device's Settings app.
Go to Apps → HissTastic.
Tap Clear storage (or Clear data).
Or simply uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data.

After clearing local data, a fresh anonymous identity will be generated the next time you open the app.

Delete Cloud (Leaderboard) Data

To request deletion of your cloud leaderboard data — including your anonymous player ID, username, and personal best score from Supabase — send an email to:

Please include "HissTastic Data Deletion Request" in the subject line and your anonymous player ID (found in the Settings screen of the app) if available. If you don't have your player ID, include your username instead and we'll do our best to match the record.

Deletion Timeline

We will process your request and delete the identified cloud leaderboard data within 30 days of receiving a verifiable request. You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.

What Happens After Deletion

Your leaderboard entry will be removed from the public global leaderboard.
A new anonymous identity will be generated the next time you play.
Your username will be available for re-use by other players.
Local data is not affected by a cloud deletion request — clear it separately using the steps above.

Data Retention

Cloud leaderboard data is retained until you request deletion. The only cloud data stored is your anonymous player ID, username, and personal best score. No backup copies are retained after deletion.
